Correctly managing your stakeholders is key to the success and continuous improvement of any project or business. The ability to understand, manage and negotiate with the key stakeholders whether it is your employees, investors, landholders, government regulators or project team will set the project apart from everyone else.

This one-day training course will provide you with the tools, and techniques to gain buy-in and approval across a range of interested parties with often different and conflicting interests, while maintaining integrity and governance through developed hard and soft skills.

It will show you how to classify key stakeholders, implement a management strategy and monitor results. This day will be a hands-on training session with exercises and discussions to give attendees the best knowledge to take away and implement in their role immediately.

  • Identifying and Interacting with Key Stakeholders

  • Identifying Project Risks and the Stakeholders involved
  • Assessing stakeholder Issues & Needs – Above the line and below the line messages
  • Messaging around: Wind – Visuals, Noise, Flicker: Solar – Glint & Glare

Session 2

  • Liaison with political Representatives (National & Local)
  • Media (Print, Electronic, Social)
  • Interpersonal Skills in assisting relationships with Stakeholders
  • Door to door /community meetings – information vs persuasion
  • Managing Conflicting Interests
  • Influencing Stakeholders
  • Managing a negotiation
  • Maintaining communication.

  • What you can and can’t mitigate – solutions

Who Should Attend

This course will be of interest to portfolio, programme and project managers who are involved with managing stakeholders to accomplish project goals on renewable energy projects. This course is for both new and experienced managers in this role.

Certification

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. Please note certificates are issued at the close of the training course to participants on completion of the course.

This course may qualify for CPD points. Please check directly with your association or awarding body to see how many points they will award.

Cost

An ‘Early Bird’ discounted rate of €485 is currently available. This training course normal rate is €585. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
