A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

• Assessing Needs • Implementing Adjustments • Managing Performance in Practice • Balancing Support, Privacy and The Needs Of The Organisation • As an Employer - What you must do to meet reasonable accommodations in the workplace

As employers encounter a wide range of individual needs and circumstances in the workplace, understanding how to provide appropriate reasonable accommodations is increasingly important. HR professionals and managers are facing increasingly complex situations about reasonable accommodations, disclosure, performance, probation and workplace expectations. What should an employer do when an employee discloses difficulties after performance concerns have been raised? Can accommodations be considered where an employee is awaiting diagnosis? How should organisations respond to requests for remote working, occupational health recommendations or adjustments that may affect colleagues or the essential requirements of a role?

This practical one-day course is designed to help managers and HR professionals navigate these situations with greater confidence. We will explore the relationship between reasonable accommodation and performance management to provide practical approaches to assessing individual needs, working with employees and managers, considering appropriate adjustments, maintaining confidentiality and managing performance fairly and consistently.

By attending this course, you will gain practical guidance on how to:
