Course Description

This practical, one-day course provides a clear, step-by-step guide to the Discovery process in an Irish context, designed for both those new to Discovery and those looking to build confidence and improve efficiency.

This course will take you through each stage of the discovery lifecycle, from understanding legal obligations and planning a project, data preservation, collection and processing, to managing review, production and drafting affidavits. We will address common challenges such as dealing with third parties, meeting tight deadlines, and avoiding costly mistakes.

The course will also introduce the role of eDiscovery platforms and emerging technologies, including AI and Copilot tools, showing how they can streamline workflows and reduce manual effort when used appropriately.

By the end of this course, you will have a practical understanding of how Discovery works in real scenarios, with clearexamples, templates and guidance you can apply immediately in your role. Youwill also have the opportunity to raise questions specific to your organisation and gain practical solutions you can use straight away.
