A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

• Complexities, Challenges, Obligations & Legalities • Best Practice for Inspection Plans • When is BCAR Exempt • When things go wrong – Implications associated with BCAR Certification

Ensuring compliance with BCAR while coordinating multiple stakeholders presents a complex mix of legal and practical challenges. This course will provide a comprehensive guide to the responsibilities, obligations and good practices for designers, builders, clients, assigned and design certifiers and all involved in providing ancillary certificates. The course offers practical approaches and solutions to common pitfalls and strategies to reduce risk.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of key aspects of BCAR including commencement notices, client assignments, statutory certificates, inspection plans, and ancillary certificates. In addition, advice will be given on how to manage on-site challenges, project handovers, and potential disputes – equipping you to confidently manage BCAR compliance from commencement to completion.

This course assumes a level of technical knowledge of the building control system. It focuses on the BCAR; and not on the building regulations or the technical guidance documents.

All attendees will receive a full course pack to refer back to and will have the benefit of learning from two trainers with a wealth of experience in this area.
