David Lane is a practising solicitor and notary public with over two decades of experience in the Irish legal profession. Alongside his legal practice, he has developed a specialist interest in the intersection of law, ethics, and emerging technologies—particularly Artificial Intelligence and its regulatory landscape. He has undertaken extensive professional training in this area, including: i. Diploma in Artificial Intelligence – UCD Professional Academy ii. Advanced Diploma in Artificial Intelligence – UCD Professional Academy iii. AI Essentials – Google iv. Certified AI Act Course – Compliance Institute v. MOOC in Artificial Intelligence – Law Society of Ireland vi. Currently completing the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence Prompt Engineering with Microsoft Copilot – UCD Professional Academy vii. Currently completing Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at UWE Bristol.
