A few words from our tutor on what you can expect from this course

Course Description

Better Maps – Clearer Impacts – Stronger Assessments

This one-day training course will provide a practical, Ireland-focused introduction to producing clear, defensible and planning-compliant maps for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and Habitats Reports. Attendees will gain a solid understanding of what planning authorities and inspectors expect to see in mapping, how to use authoritative Irish spatial datasets and how to present ecological and environmental information in a way that clearly supports assessment findings. Through hands-on examples and real Irish case studies, the course will help participants improve the quality, consistency and credibility of their maps, reduce the risk of requests for further information and increase confidence when preparing mapping for EIARs, Natura Impact Statements and Appropriate Assessments.
