Course Description

Complexities, Challenges, Obligations & Legalities of BCAR, SI9 and the Assigned Certifier Role

The importance placed on the role of the Assigned Certifier as part of the Building Control Amendment Regulations is extremely challenging and can be fraught with a number of practical and legal issues.

This course will examine the professional complexities, challenges, obligations, and legalities of the Assigned & Design Certifiers role, it will highlight the likely areas of contention & steps to avoid potential litigation nightmares in the future. It is a must attend course for anyone working as, or with assigned and design certifiers.

This course assumes technical knowledge and is not an in depth look at the TGD’s parts A-M

All attendees will receive a full course pack to refer back to and will have the benefit of learning from two trainers with a wealth of experience in this area.

Afternoon Session
  • The Ancillary Certificates agreed by the Professional Bodies and the CIF
  • What happens if an ancillary certifier steps down in the middle of the project

This course will be of interest to all Building and Design professionals including, current assigned and design certifiers, as well as contractors, surveyors, architects, engineers, specialist contractors, local authority executives and technical managers, material manufacturers, suppliers to the building sector, procurement executives, tendering managers, government department officers with direct or indirect contact with the building and design sectors, industry associations, representative bodies, educators and regulators.

Certification

On completion of this one-day training course, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. Please note certificates are issued at the close of the training course to participants on completion of the course.

This course may qualify for CPD points. Please check directly with your association or awarding body to see how many points they will award.

Cost

An ‘Early Bird’ discounted rate of €495 is currently available. This training course normal rate is €595. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
